Antonia Juhasz will be sharing the themes of her esteemed book, “The Tyranny of Oil: The World’s Most Powerful Industry and What We Must Do To Stop It.” This is a very relevant topic for Nevada, as we should be leading the discussion and implementation on alternative forms of energy.

The book exposes the impact of the oil industry’s influence on politics, government, the environment, and humanitarian issues. Never before has the world been so impacted by one industry or commodity. Ms. Juhasz provides the reader with real insight into the problem, and what must be done to change the trends.

We are providing the reader with some video on this site, so that you can get a taste of what her message is. On this special night, on October 14th, we will have the opportunity to have a question and answer session, and we will have a captive audience and speaker. Let us hope that this has an impact on our policy decisions in this state, and as a nation.

On October 14th, 1774, Colonialists in Annapolis, Maryland, burned ships carrying tea by the East India Trading Company. This event became known as the Annapolis Tea Party. Let us remember that on the 14th of October in this year, we address a tyrannical commodity of today.
